How good is Arson?

A few years ago when I was becoming a devoted weight lifter and it was about that time to “get ripped”, I came across this new thermogenic supplement manufactured by Muscle Asylum Project(MAP) entitled Arson. The initial thing that sparked by interest was the packaging image itself. The product’s front shows huge white letters ARSON alongside an ignited matchstick; on the backside there are three photographs of the vascular system being affected from arson in three different phases. These three image illustrate the activation and promotion of certain chemical functions within the body which: prevent fat buildup, increase stored fat breakdown and the construction of a new route where fat cells are rushed directly to the muscles and burned rapidly in order to generate more energy via thermogenic heat. I was intrigued to try this product since I have heard generally good reviews from MAP in the past. When it first came out, it was quite pricey at around $60.00, give or take. But Arson was either on sale or a “Hot Buy” a lot of the time. The 1st day it says take 1 pill a day twice daily.

I remained on a pre-workout until I graduated to the 3 pills twice a day. At that time I began my day with 3 pills prior to breakfast and had incredible energy and focus; I then took another 3 pills prior to my workout about 7 hours later and had the most unreal workout of my entire life. I have taken thermogenics and fat burners in the past such as zantrax and stacker 2 however, nothing was quite like this. I did not get the shakes, the jitters, or that empty stomach effect that some burners may cause, rather, I did feel an incredible energy boost. After I consumed the 3 Arson capsules, within 15-20 minutes I felt like I could literally lift the gym up--I had unbelievable focus, drive, motivation, adrenaline, motivation and what appeared to be, strength. I felt absolutely no fatigue or soreness until after the weightlifting session; which could have literally gone on for hours. Even during failure sets, I could finish one and wait a minute or two, and begin another with the same amount of reps, no problem. At the beginning of this one month cycle, with not a huge amount of cardio and a proper diet I dropped from 205lbs and 12.6%BMI(Body Mass Index) to roughly 195lbs and an 8.4%BMI. My bench increased greatly and had much more defined arms. The effects of Arson did not ware off at all since I did not develop a tolerance to the formula, I was floored. I continued Arson until it was time to bulk up. I stayed loyal to MAP products such as Arson, Creadex and Altered State, until a new alleged pre-workout god-send hit the shelves; Serum. (Read the Serum Story and Review Here.) After Serum, I decided to revert back to always dependable Arson. The people at every store I went to constantly told me that Arson is going to be discontinued in the real near future, but I always seen it on the shelves. Unfortunately, when I went to purchase it, the packaging now contained “NEW FORMULA” on it, with a slightly different packaging, and had a completely different bottle (The original looked like a big prescription bottle, whereas the new one has a fancy little wrapper with bright green colors mixed in).

I gave Arson’s new formula a whirl, and was so eager to hit the gym like I have been prior to the cycle of this Serum nonsense. Sadly, the burst of energy never hit me, there was no unparalleled drive, I did not feel ready to rip the gym off of its foundation any longer, however, I did still have the slightly curbed appetite effect like any other fat burner. I felt betrayed. It turns out that the majority of the potent ingredients had been reduced and/or removed. After my cycle of this newly formulated Arson, I did not notice any drastic changes whatsoever, other than a slimming wallet, and was forced to search for a pre workout supplement which delivered similar effects. I came across Hemo Rage-Ultra Concentrate based solely on the fact that I like to use the word “Rage” in place of “Party” and was very surprised and satisfied with this product.

Amazon Price: $13.95
List Price: $59.95

In conclusion, old Arson can not be competed with--its what a thermogenic should be. With no drastic side effects, I have yet to come across anything that could hold a candle to that. New Arson: somewhat of a disappointment, but it did offer a slight suppression of appetite and did generate a very faint energy boost. If I were to recommend any top of the line thermogenic products to date, I would definitely advocate OxyElite Pro (Read OxyElite Pro Review Here) or Hydroxycut Hardcore (Read OxyElite Pro Review Here).

The Old Arson:
Value: 4.9 out of 5
Effectiveness: 4.8 out of 5
Overall: 4.9 out of 5

The New Arson:
Value: 2.7 out of 5
Effectiveness: 2.4 out of 5
Overall 2.6 out of 5
